We have added two more major party cities, Dallas and Denver, which both made it on Forbes list of America’s Drunkest Cities.
Once again, we have chosen to start with some of the best known bars and clubs in these two cities and we hope you will continue to help by letting us know if we missed any of your favorites.

…about partyGPS. It’s been a few months now since we introduced the site and we wanted to share some of the great feedback we have gotten so far:
Very nice interface and the best part is you–yes, you the Time Person of the Year–get to make it better. I added the Orlando Brewery and they approved it within a few hours. - Hail the Ale! Beer Blog
There are all kinds of standard review sites out there, like CitySearch and Yelp, but it can be tough to suss out the worthwhile haunts. This is a brand new site that looks promising: it’s simply a map-based locator of every bar, club and liquor store located in any of 19 different US cities…the site is no-nonsense: it’s basically an online phone book for the boozehound. - Bar Stories
If I Could Cue A Heavenly Chorus, This Is When I Would Do It. Like the headline intimates, I’ve found a celestial gift today. It’s called PartyGPS. It’s a mashup of Google Maps and a party directory. You can find clubs, bars, and liquor stores on the website and, since it’s a mashup with Google Maps, driving directions to all three. - Amy Post Road
PartyGPS is a new Google Maps mashup that will help you locate bars, clubs, and liquor stores across the US. Cool mashup! - Google Maps Mania
Thanks to everyone who has written about us so far.

Good news. We now have a more accurate U.S. zip code database. This enables us to not have to rely on a geocoding service. This is great because most have restrictions on the amount of requests we can make per day. As a result, the site will be much quicker, especially during times of heavy traffic. But remember, the zip code search will only become more and more useful as our database of locations grows beyond just major cities.
We have gotten many requests to add new locations so keep them coming no matter where the bar, club, or liquor store is in the U.S. We won’t discriminate.

Well, we started by adding some of the most popular bars and clubs for 10 major cities at launch. We have recently added Syracuse, Baltimore, New Brunswick, Hartford, and Minneapolis to bring the total to 15. We hope to be at 20 by the end of the week. There are probably still many bars and clubs missing in all the cities we have included so far, but we are trying to add at least some of the best to get started.
partyGPS has already been mentioned on several blogs and google maps mashup sites, and hopefully that will continue. You can sign up for blog updates if you are anxiously waiting for your city to be added. Recommendations are welcome and you can send them to locations@partygps.com.

Welcome to the partyGPS blog, the site that will help you locate bars, clubs, and liquor stores across the U.S. Also, to assist you and your friends in making quicker, and more educated decisions on where to go out for the night through wonderful google maps and user reviews. We would love it if you helped us build a large, accurate database with as many bars, clubs, and liquor stores as possible, starting with the major U.S cities we have setup.
Although the website is fairly new, we are confident that everything will work correctly (although it will take some time to build up the database). We didn’t want partyGPS to be another new website in “beta”, especially since it seems like that is the cool thing to do these days. If there are any problems, we will work on fixing them asap.
When thinking about the general layout and purpose of the site, we decided not to try and make partyGPS the next big online social network. We think facebook’s event planner already helps people coordinate their nightlife with their friends quite well (facebook is open to anyone, not just college students anymore). There is no reason for people to need to sign up for another social networking site to do just that. Check out the Help section to see how you can link to a specific location’s page on partyGPS through a facebook event you have created.
partyGPS is focused on providing our users with only the info needed to help them party without the hassle. That is why we won’t ask you to register to simply navigate the site or write a review, and you won’t see tons of other distractions on the site. We do not think that there is anything on the web right now like this that serves this purpose, so whether you are a lost alcoholic visiting a new city or have an unofficial title of full-time party coordinator, we hope this site can help.
We decided to include a user forum to give our users a place to further talk, get to know each other, and promote and talk about local events and parties. Registration is required to participate in the forum (but not too browse), but it is quick and easy.
